Four things to confirm before test day
Your book and test date
Ask which NEC edition is tested and which physical book you may bring. Building-code adoption can change on a different schedule.
The format
Check exam portions, time, passing score, calculator, tabs, notes and permitted materials in the current candidate bulletin.
The appointment
Verify ID, language, accommodations, location, fees and rescheduling rules with the official authority or testing provider.
The NEC does not create one national electrician license. Each jurisdiction determines its licensing and examination requirements. VoltPrep offers independent preparation for NEC 2023 and 2026; confirm your exam matches before choosing a plan.
